L'Organe is recruiting!

Duration: Temporary (up to 50 hours in March 2024)

Rate: $25/hour

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the temporary position of AGM Organizer for our Francophone non-profit media production based at an English-language university in Montreal. The AGM Organizer will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of our annual general meeting, including promotion, space booking, and logistics. Learn more here!

First-Aid 101 Workshop

When: Sunday, March 17, 10 am - 1pm

The recent large-scale mobilizations taking place in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal in solidarity with Palestine have highlighted the importance of street medic skills to take care of our, and each other’s, health and well-being. This workshop aims to introduce some aspects of medic work such as how to prepare for an action, evaluate risks, read protest dynamics, stay safe, and some basic first aid scenarios.

Organized by the Caring for Social Justice Collective (& Friends!) Everyone welcome! (except cops and media)

  • How can worker co-ops move good workers to good member-owners?
  • Discussion about membership and responsibilities and how to share/disseminate that information to new members.
  • Participatory decision-making and problem-solving methods.
  • Improving democracy within the co-operative.
